Weird structure

"Let's go surfing." I usually see this let structure with a place,as in: ''Let's go to the mall.''.However, I had never seen it with a verb.Is it right? if so,Can I use it with infinitive instead of -ing?

Other one that I found: ''Let's go buying some steaks"

Yes, you can use it with many verbs. Let's go running, let's go bowling, let's go dancing. Technically "let's go buying" is correct too, but I've never heard that.

"Let's go buying some steaks" is not correct. You could write "let's go buy some steaks". "Let's go shopping for steaks" works well. "Let's go buying for steaks" -
