hey, it's me again. This time I'm asking you to help me in explaining some phrases. Here they go: street cred, saddo, gym junkies, tough love, dumbing down, mall walking.

Could be, but also could be the male that hangs around the gym hoping to meet junkettes. Conversations are easier to start up in the gym setting. The junkettes have a more difficult time avoiding the approach when they are in the middle of their timed workout

I would say it is "doing the thing which the person affected, usually a child, considers harsh or at least more restrictive than he wants. I only add this because I think that some who go for "tough love" go too far or way too far. Too much leniency and too much harshness can both be counterproductive.
