Do you say "we'd better make the best of it " or "we better make the best of it" or are both correct?

Theoretically, it's 'We'd better ,,," but you'll frequently hear, and sometimes read "We better ...". I recommend that learners use only the former; the latter is generally considered to be incorrect/substandard.

'We'd better...' is correct. ('We had better...')

'We better...' is commonly heard in casual, colloquial conversation.
