lucas21cDo "It is freezing today" and "It is boiling today" sound right and natural?In California we tend to have dry heat, so 'baking' is more common than 'boiling'.
In any case, "it's" sounds more natural than the rather formal "it is", so for me, they go like this, where 'hot' and 'cold' are optional:
It's freezing (cold) today.
