Hi.

Do we say

What a terrible weather or what terrible weather?

I googled the phrase both forms are almost used equally .Is weather countable here?

I would say "What terrible weather". Weather is not countable., at least not in British English.

Mess can be both countable and uncountable. But there are other nouns such as shame, pity and sham, which are normally seen as uncountable and yet they can take "a" (what/it's a pity/sham/shame). I think it's probably best if you just commit to memory these e
