wear/use eyeshadow

I'm a bit confused right now. I was watching some makeup tutorials on the internet and I noticed that some people say ‘‘wear eyeshadow’’ and others ‘‘use eyeshadow’’. Which one is correct?

Both are correct if the wearer is a woman. If it's a man. it may not be correct at all to many observers.

Both verbs are correct. I would personally write "eye shadow" as two words.
