Wear a new pair of shoes to/for ...

Hello,

can you please tell me whether it is correct to say such a sentence:

"I would like to wear this new pair of shoes for my school tomorrow"

Is "for" correct? Or maybe I should use "to" instead?

Normally you would say "I would like to wear this new pair of shoes to school tomorrow."
