Hi

Is "wear" a stative verb? What is the difference between these?

1- Two robbers who wore masks stopped him

2- Two robbers who were wearing masks stopped him'

'wear' is stative, but both 1 and 2 are fine. Maybe 2 makes the situation sound more vivid and "as if you were there" because the continuous can suggest a temporary situation (i.e., while the robbery was in progress), but the meaning is same either way.
