"Weakness"

"I've always had a weakness for the opera."

What does this exactly mean? Does it mean that I like opera or I dont like opera?

I've seen the word "weakness" used for both the context - positive as well as negative.

And one more question; if an interviewer asks "What is your weakness?"

Some folks answer: "I'm very bad at programming" (Negative sense)
and some others would say: "I just love gaming!" (Positive sense)

What exactly the interview intended to ask?

It means I love the opera, but my passion for it sometimes causes me problems such as over-indulgence, over-spending, neglect of duties, etc., etc.
