We will go rather naked than wear fur.
We will go naked rather than wear fur.

The first sentence is clearly wrong. Also if this is hypothesis (which I'm sure it is) you should be using "would" not "will".
We would rather go naked than wear fur. -> This is where I would put "rather".

thanks for making this clear. I felt the same way you do, although I´m not a native. I reckon there´s a slight difference in the meaning of each sentence(correct me please if I´m wrong): The second one (We will/would go naked rather than wear fur) emphasizes that on no account will we go wearing fur (and that it´s more likely you´ll see us wearing nothing). Am I right or am I just pushing

Thanks all. This was what was written on a banner used by some activists while they were protesting cruelty against animals. However, I do not remember the exact phrasing.
