Could anyone tell me how to interpret BOX syntactically, please!?
I know it could be either a) 'we took care of her suitcase' or b) 'we watched her doing something, i.e. box'
However, I cannot figure out which functional role BOX occupies in the sequence given above; that is, is it an object complement or an adverbial or... Both options, namely object complement and adverbial, seem strange to me. Perhaps anyone of you can help...?!
Thanks very much in advance, Ralf
