It has been 3 months since I requested you to buy the item but you haven't yet. It shows your irresponsibility.
We stay here since 1980.
We have been staying here since 1980.

Are these sentences correct?

@Philip Thank you. But, do you mean the front part "It has been three months since" is correct?

Also, can you check these use of "since/for"?

I'm here for 3 months.
I'll be here for 3 months.
We are here since 3 months.

The first two sentences I wrote for future. For e.g. Suppose somebody asks a question "How long are you going to be in this place?

Can I reply with the below sentences?

I'm here for 3 months.
I'll be here for 3 months.
