Phone conversation -

Ben - Ted? Ted, are you there?

Ted - I'm here. I just thought I heard something.

Ben - Maybe we shouldn't talk. / Maybe we shouldn't be talking.

(Ted is sneaking around somewhere he shouldn't be. Ben is concerned that someone might hear Ted talking)


Would both Maybe we shouldn't talk and Maybe we shouldn't be talking be okay for the context?
