"We see his foot catch on a drain plug."

This is from movie script.

I want to know what his foot 'catching on' a drain plug looks like. Mainly I'm asking this because I don't know why the preposition 'on' is used there.

Noname 8048 I want to know what his foot 'catching on' a drain plug looks like. I doubt there is such a picture on the internet. It means that he tripped over the plug if it is projecting from the floor, or if the plug was attached by a chain, perhaps his foot became entangled in that.
