We must have objects of attention

Hello,

Does "We must have objects of attention" simply mean: We must possess objects upon which to focus our attention or We must have objects to which we can focus our attention ?

Maybe my alternatives are harder Emotion: smile)

Source: The following quote by Abraham Hicks

We must have objects of attention, that are ringing our bells, in order to feel the fullness of who we are — flowing through us — for the continuation of All-That-Is. That is what puts the eternalness in eternity.

Thank you so much.
