Hello.
Recently I have seen the following sentence:
We laid on the grass and looked at the stars.
And I have two questions:
1) I think that 'laid' is incorrect and we should say 'lay' instead. Am I right?
Here more details: https://www.grammarly.com/
2) Is 'at' correct? Can we replace it with 'up at' or 'to' or 'up to'?
Reegis 1) I think that 'laid' is incorrect and we should say 'lay' instead. Am I right? Yes.

Reegis1) I think that 'laid' is incorrect and we should say 'lay' instead. Am I right?
Yes. "We laid on the grass" is a grating error. This sort of confusion between "lay" and "lie" is all too common.
Reegis2) Is 'at' correct?
Yes.
ReegisCan we replace it with 'up at'
Yes.
