We have two Mr. Tabans.

We have two Mr. Tabans. Which did you talk to? I talked to ….. who is in charge of the office .
a)Mr. Taban
b)a Mr. Taban
c)the Mr. Taban (Answer Key)
d)that Mr. Taban

Hello,
I have asked this question in another forum but I have received different answers from native English speakers.

One told me "I think both a) and c) are acceptable, but c) is preferable."
One other told me "only C is correct because there are two, you need (C) with "the", in order to identify which Mr Taban you're referring to."
One other told me "a), c) and d) are all possible, and none of them is incorrect."

Would you please be kind enough to give the final answer? What's your opinion? I have got confused.

Thank you.

I would use c). It makes more sense, because you want to distinguish him from the other one.

Answer a), without the ‘the’, doesn't make so much sense, because it still doesn't quite identify one from the other.

Option d) would presume that you are somehow pointing to just one of them, or that you have previously referred to one in particular, and would require a comma before ‘who
