We hate to hear that rude man talk/talks?

We hate to hear that rude man talk/talks?

I've looked through the books and the answer stated as "talk".

I was wondering why isn't the answer, "talks"?
Shouldn't we add "s" behind a singular noun?

This is one of very many catenative constructions, that is, a construction that contains two verbs in a row. The second verb in a catenative constuction is never any tense. It is usually the bare infinitive or the -ing form.
