We got the police involved by ( )?

Teachers, seeing this sentence: "She got everything taken care of by one person in that clinic." I wanted to change the following one like that : "We got the police involved."

So what could possibly be put on the underline: "We got the police involved by ."?

"? The phrase by one person in that clinic specifies the 'agent', so in your second sentence you need to specify an agent. We got someone to involve the police, by for example calling them.
