we got a huge order

As soon as we began to sell our new product, we got a huge order. We were all very excited, but our boss told us to remember that one swallow does not make a summer.

Does "we got a huge order" sound as good as "we got many/plenty of/lot of orders?" Thanks.

No. A huge order is a single order, but large in amount.

I've never heard "one swallow does not make a summer" before. Is that a BrE expression, or a direct translation of an idiom in your language?

Thanks, GG.

The proverb is definitely English, but I'm sure whether it's AE or BE.
