We get an e-n-d with every f-r-i-e-n-d ?

Hello

I am from Hong Kong.

By the sentence "We get an e-n-d with every f-r-i-e-n-d" , I want to convey two meanings; the first is that there is a word e-n-d in the word f-r-i-e-n-d and the second is that no friendship can sustain forever.

I want to know how English native speakers think about the sentence both from descriptive and prescriptive point of view.

Many thanks

Thanks Clive

You mentioned that the second meaning did not come quickly to your mind.
If I did not state the second meaning directly like I did, do you think an English native speaker could get that meaning solely by reading the sentence?

1) In conveying a double meaning, please use a neutral form of expression.

2) Use hyphens only with the emphasized part of the word.

3) If the sentence is mainly to be spoken, have a rhyme.

There is an e-n-d even with the best fri-e-n-d.

One parts from every fri-e-n-d with a fray in the e-n-d.
