We eat tablet or we consume tablet?

Hi,

Doctor prescribed me I have to eat this tablet 3 times in a day for 60 days.
Doctor told me I have to consume this tablet 3 times in a day for 60 days.

Are these sentences correct?

In almost all cases, you just "take" a tablet

We don't actually say "eat" or "consume" tablets or other pills. We usually say 'take pills', which actually means swallow them. (unless there are specific instructions to
