Felixxx We can delete "that" in majority of cases? You can omit 'that' unless it is a subject or object clause, at least: That you were late did not anger me. I hated that you were late .

You can omit 'that' unless it is a subject or object clause, at least:

That you were late did not anger me.
I hated that you were late.
