WAYS TO SAY GOODBYE

Hi, dear friends

I'd like to know "see you, (see ya)" is exactly synonym of goodbye.I mean when both speaker & listener know they don't meet each other until couple of days goes by. Should we necessarily use "good bye" Not see you? ?If there is difference please let me know.

Thanks

Hi, The main difference is the level of formality. 'See you' is very casual and informal. I wouldn't say it to someone I do not have a very informal relationship with.

Hi,

Yes.
I don't hear 'cheerio' here in North America.
