"way" over or "well" over ...

I believe the correct sentence is

the price of this jacket is well over (or weeeeeeeell over) being reasonable -

but it seems that sometimes I'd hear people say

'the price of this jacket is WAY over being reasonable"

or "the price of this jacket is WAAAAAAAAY over being reasonable".

Can native speakers clarify if it's "okay" to say

"it's WAAAAAY over xxx" or if it's just my poor listening comprehension?

Thanks

"way over" is colloquial. The "a" in way is often held for a longer time - the longer the time it is held, the more ridiculous the price seems to be to the speaker. I've also heard the expression "over the top" meaning excessive..
