Grammar

way out, put out

My teacher put out a message, in the class, that today the main way out has been closed so we should go out by the side way out.

Is this sentence correct?

Please help me.

It is OK, but I think 'exit' would be used instead of 'way out', and I don't think a short message spoken in class calls for the verb 'put out'.

I would say this as

The teacher gave out a message in class that the main exit was closed and we must all leave by the side door.

Your have too many "outs" in your sentence.
