Watering down the milk etc

Hi

(My question is about dishonesty in selling eatable items by tampering with their quality.)

Could you please help me with the typical phrases? Are these correct?

  1. The dairy owner was charged with watering down the milk.
  2. It is illegal and morally wrong to adulterate the foods you sell.
  3. The shopkeeper was arrested for adulteration.
  4. The honey was visibly adulterated.
  5. The dairy owner was charged with adulterating the milk.

Thanks,

Tom

They're grammatically correct but only 1 and 2 would commonly be heard. 'Watering down' means 'diluting with water' (causing no harm). 'Adulterating' means 'adding harmful or dangerous liquids or substances'.
