water got into my PC through cable wire

My CPU got damaged because water got into it from internet cable wire.
During rainy season, water pass into my CPU through Internet cable wire, so I usually don't connect internet during rainy season.

Please correct my sentences.

My CPU got damaged because some water got into my PC through the (air vent, holes, cables, etc.)
During the rainy season, water can get into my PC that way, so I usually don't connect to the net during that period.
