watch/ watch on

Dear members

"Mom and Dan are watching on T.V.

Mom and Dan are watching T.V."

Are they all usable and the same in meaning?

Thanks

The first one is not right. You can't "watch on TV". You can watch something (e.g. a programme, the news, a film) on TV.

The second one is correct, but I would write "TV" not "T.V.".

Not sure if you may mean "Dad" rather than "Dan", though "Dan" is a male name so it makes sense too.
