I had no idea 'on the weekend' was/is/would be wrong in BrE.
I have two questions related to this sentence:
1. Can both 'was' and 'is' used in this sentence? If so, which is prefered?
2. This is a sentence borrowed from another thread and the phrase 'would be' is correct. What is the difference between 'would be' and was/is, whichever is correct?
