Washing Clothes doubt

Is it ok to say:
I have dipped my clothes in surf water.

Also is it ok to say:
I have to work for another 2 hrs and then for 45 minutes to wash the clothes

I assume the word you are looking for, Anand, is soak.

I have soaked my clothes in detergent.

As regards your second sentence, I think this is what you mean:

I need about two hours to complete my work. Then I need another 45 minutes to wash my clothes.
