Washing and dressing myself

What is the process called in English referring to what you would do after getting up?

eg After opening my eyes, I screamed until the whole house resounded with my voices as the alarm clock told me that I was late for the meeting with my teacher. In an instant, I ____ myself, and rushed down the corridor, only to find that I hadn't taken off my slippers.

WASH and DRESS don't sound right.
