Washed silk

Hi

The fabric he was wearing was shimmery, like washed silk.

--- Does "washed silk" mean the same as "wet silk"? Or maybe when we wash silk, it becomes shimmery?

pagewanted=print Once known as "weekend silk" or "sloppy silk" because of its wrinkled texture, washed silk has become a wardrobe staple year-round. Designers are enamored of the silk's chamois feel and muted hues, which are created by washing the fabric with sand or stones. Now they are freshening its look by experimenting with prints, textures and uses.

Hi,

I don't know that term. There is, however, 'watered silk'.

If you are interested, search with Google.
