Hi everyone,

I would like to request for a correction in the sentence given below.


"He along with his companions was admitted in the hospital."

{Why do we use was, whereas in the following we use were?}

He and his companions were admitted in the hospital.

Alice, Jame and he himself were admitted in the hospital.
