'was' vs 'is' a graduate

A. I was a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Economics.
B. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Economics.

Which of the sentences above is correct?
Should I say 'was' because my 'graduation' happened in the past?
Or should I say 'is' because it states the fact that I have the said degree.
For an interview, which is appropriate?

Please assist me. Thanks.

Thank you, Mister Micawber, for your response. I will use your sentence, then.

I am just curious with 'I was a graduate' and 'I am a graduate'. Suppose in another context, which of the following is correct for an interview?

I was a graduate of Oxford University.
I am a graduate of Oxford University.

Additionally, can I say 'a graduate from' instead of 'a graduate of'? Which is more natural?

I am a graduate of Oxford University. 'From' is unnatural here.

Okay, thank you for that clarification.

I see "am a graduate of" is the correct one instead of "was...", even if the act of graduating happened in the past.

Again, thank you so much.
