Was v.s. is

I met and talked to him last week, and he "was" a nice guy or "is a nice guy" ??

Note: I know the meeting was happened last week, and we should use past tense "was", but he guy is still nice now. Should I use "is"?

I think you should use "was" because the action happend in the past, and it deosn't matter if the guy stills nice or not !! - I hope that helped you -

I think you should use "was" because the action happend in the past, and it deosn't matter if the guy stills nice or not !!

If you're trying to say that you found him to be nice (then), use was.
If you're trying to say that you (now) think that he's a nice person, use is.
