WAS STARTING TO GET TO ME

Hello,
I don't understand the meaning of this GET TO ME here:

'My band was getting real hot and tight this time. But my hip was a mess. and playing amplified was starting to GET TO ME, too, I was just getting sick of everything, and I was sick physically, too.'

Could someone help me with that?
Thanks in advance, Jo.
