Was or Were

The initial transfer in August 2013 was inadvertently completed at market value rather than par. The subsequent transfers in September 2013 and April 2014 was to correct the initial transfer completed in August. Attached for your review are the submitted transfer requests to the trustee.

In the second sentence above, can someone please tell me if I should use was or were after April 2014? And why? Thank you!
