Which version is correct?

"pick one of the topics that was discussed"

or

"pick one of the topics that were discussed"

Anonymous Which version is correct? "pick one of the topic s that * were * discussed" The one above is correct since the antecedent of the relative that is the plural topics , not one. This seems to be an international mistake.
