1 It was a great memory of my trip
2 It is a great memory of my trip
I am not sure which sentence to use.
I would be very grateful if somebody would answer this for me

Thanks very much for your reply. I am not sure about context. Can they both be used for now or is only number 2 OK for now? Can you help me understand the difference?
