Hi all,
As you can see I'm new here and just like most of you (probably) I'm not a native english speaker.
Could you help and tell me which sentence is correct?
I'm a flight instructor and after a training flight with one of my worst students he asked me how was it. Should I say
a. It was the worst landing in the history of this school
or
b. It has been the worst landing in the history of this school

geoyoWhy can't you say "it has been" when he asked "how was it"?You can, but it sounds funny. It's a little like this:
