I think the more common way to ask this is: Did I take too long? Hope this helps! Fariha.

Hi, Clive.

Is it OK to say the following?

"Was I too long for the speech I just made?"
"Was I too long for keeping you waiting?"

Of course, I may also say, "was my speech too long".

Thanks in advance

"Was I too long for keeping you waiting?"

No. 'For' does not work here. You might naturally say -

Was I too long (in) making my speech?

Was I too long? Did I keep you waiting?

Did I keep you waiting too long?
