was bankrupt

Hi everyone

This corporation was bankrupt.

Is the word 'bankrupt' an adjective or a verb?
I think it's an adjective.

Thanks

If it's a verb, it should be 'bankrupted', shouldn't it? It's my simple mistake. It's resolved.
