“Get away you filthy rodent!” Screamed the new maid for the royal manor of Fauna, as a huge, white rat circled the plump being perched upon the stool in the middle of the room. “She is nothing to be scared of,” said the Lady of Life as she descended from the forbidden stairs of her private quarters. “Nothing to be scared of, it’s had me up here for almost five full minutes. “Actually, I was talking to my son, Alik, he doesn’t talk much.” “Your son is a dirty, big rat?” “No, he has his fathers given ability to change into almost any animal.” “Almost any animal?” said the maid as she nervously looked down at Alik who was checking out a luggage bag that was still lying on the blue stone floor. “Just as long as he doesn’t stretch himself too far. However, as he grows, he can take on much larger forms.” “I do hope I have retired by that time.” Just then a bolt of dark green energy broke from the rat and consumed it. As it solidified, it left a crouching boy with white hair and eyes that flickered like great, green flames.
Domina
“Run” screamed a frantic woman as she bolted down the main street of Ice City. “Run” she repeated. “What are you doing waking up people, at not even five in the morning,” demanded a scrawny man, his nightgown swaying jauntily in the slight, morning breeze as he reached for his coat. He turned to his left and immediately noticed the problem. A Sprenether. A large, snow breathing Sprenether heading that way. It was the largest Sprenether he had seen in his life. A Sprenether, otherwise known as Snow Breather, is a horrible sight to see. It consists of a colossal, egg-shaped body and thick, rock-hard armor. Armor that spreads over its back and undersides, leading into a long, whip like tail. But, the feature that got it its nickname, the feature that made all those run in fear before it, was its mouth. The moisture that it breathes in turns into snow when it breathes out, creating a snowball, with every breath. In fact, it looked as if it was going to breathe out right about now. Just as its chest began to deflate, the crunch of footsteps in the early morning snow could be heard approaching. The crunching became louder until a huge, icy foot appeared around the corner, then legs, torso, arms and a head. The figure was decked in an outfit completed by snow and it walked defiantly towards the sprenether. This character was Domnia, the hermits daughter who masters in the ice powers of this frozen realm. Realizing this new danger, the sprenether released its breath in an almighty hurry, a snowball bursting from its mouth and taking flight across the empty courtyard. Domnia strode on, dodging the snowball at the last minute before continuing on her path. When she reached the sprenether, she pulled an axe of ice from her very suit and lunged upon the monster. In retaliation, the beast gave out a horrible roar and lurched forward. Wielding its tail, it brought its weapon down on Domnia and cracked it over her covered arm, slicing the exterior wide open and revealing a much smaller, human arm inside.
The wound in the icy suit that enclosed Domina was beginning to reform, but Domina knew she wasn’t excelled enough at her powers to hold the suit much longer, and the repairing was draining all of the strength from her natural form that lied beneath the suit of ice. With what remained of her strength she drew her axe again and took another assault on the sprenether this time she managed to strike the softer flesh of the beast, the beast howled and lunged at her this time the force was too much, the suite was shattered and it dissipated into the air leaving Domina unconscious on the icy remains of the road leading into Boefur, the town she feared would be destroyed by the massive, looming beast which was approaching where she lay on the ice, which was sapping the strength she had remaining within her bruised and defeated body. She awoke to find herself in a hexagonal chamber quite like those of the frost bees, which swarmed the lands in the summer. However, it was much larger then that, at least still enough to…
