Wanton Vocab

I'm writing an assignment for school that deals with various sexual issues and want to use 2 seldom-used words that I know exist, but can't track down on the web or in my dictionary.

The first is a word that is synonymous with 'deflower,' as it means stripping someone of their virginity--I've seen it once and it might include the letter Q.

The other is a word that decribes relationships between a man and prostitues--there is a special term which I also have seen before but now can't seem to track down.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'll have to think about the 'q' word. In N. America, prostitutes refer to their customer as a 'john', maybe derived from 'John Doe', the standard police name for an unknown person.

  • They say 'I turned 3 tricks last night'.

Dear Clive,

Thanks for the input; but the word I'm looking for is more of a formal term--something like prurient or salacious when discussing **** ( a type of word that is usually written and not used in informal conversations.)

If I remember correctly it's a word that ends with -ic.

Commercially carnal? Lascivious limbo? Lewd lifestyle?

I'm still thinking about ....q...ic. Maybe a prostitute has a quickie quota?

You already seem to have a pretty good vocabulary!
