Want to know difference between father's name and fathers name.
I want to know the difference( my father's name and my fathers name ) between two lines. I know 1st one is correct. But my question is that why 2nd one is incorrect? please give me explanation ..Thanks in advance.

anonymous between two lines I don't know which lines you're talking about, but it doesn't really matter. fathers name is wrong if it's supposed to mean the name of (someone's) father . CJ

I don't know which lines you're talking about, but it doesn't really matter.
fathers name is wrong if it's supposed to mean the name of (someone's) father.
