Speech & Pronunciation

want to

Hi,
how should I say "want to"?
If I don't reduce it to "wanna", is it wan tuh or want tuh?

Thanks Emotion: smile

All of those forms are represented in the speech patterns of native speakers, Kooyeen-- there is no way you 'should' say it. It is the physical result of the individual's speed and enunciation.

Thanks, I actually thought both were possible.
I think it's because there's an n before the t, so you can leave it out (like in "World Trade Cenner") or leave it as it is.

Thanks

Either with or without the final unreleased t on want, but wanna is more frequently heard in casual conversation. (No statistics to support my opinion.)

Ok, thanks Jim.
Yes, I tend to say "wanna" very often but not as often as "gonna". Or "Immuna"... Hehe Emotion: smile
