Hi,
In WordNet dictionary the verb wane is defined as
"decrease in phase". Is this definition used only for moon?

Yes, I can see that "wane" can be used in various context, I want to know if this particular definition by WordNet refers only to moon.

Actually, 'decrease in phase' seems a very strange thing to say, even of the moon. The phases of the moon do not increase or decrease.
