Salam and Hi.. Can anyone gives me a few examples on how to correctly use 'walking distance' in a sentence. I want to explain that the hotel is near to the mall. But i am not sure the correct way to write it. "in a walking distance to/with", "within a walking distance.....?" Thanks.

Hi.. 1) Don't we need "My house is within a walking distance from here." ? 2) How about these two: My house is in walking distance with the restaurant and My house is in walking distance to the restaurant.
I would call it an idiom. It's clearly pretty useless as a measure of distance unless you know the walking capabilities of the person you are talking to.
