Speech & Pronunciation

walked

Hi there,

How can I say 'ed' sound in 'walked in'?

Is it [-kt] or [-kd]? So how can I link the sound [-ed] and [in] when pronouncing 'walked in'?

Hi, that's difficult, no one knows... no one knows what happens in those cases! You should say walkt in , but not walk tin .

  • Saying walkt in , the final part of the t sound could turn into a d sound.
  • That's what it seems to me, let's see what the others think.
